ArcGIS 9

ArcGIS 9 is ESRI's integrated suite of GIS software components that enables users to incorporate GIS functionality at any level. Whether deployment is planned for desktop PCs or custom client server applications, ArcGIS 9 has the compatibility to make it happen.

The primary components of ArcGIS 9 consist of: ArcGIS Desktop; ArcGIS Engine; ArcGIS Server; ArcIMS; and ArcSDE. Each of the primary components is based on a common library of shared objects called ArcObjects.

Custom Software Development

PGSC's custom-developed software products include the following:

NYC DEP Water Quality Information System (WQIS)
ESRI-Oracle geodatabase that houses water quality and GIS data with an easy-to-use Web browser graphical user interface (GUI) based on ESRI's ArcIMS
Land Information System (WaLIS)
Map Objects-based support tool for maintaining and tracking People, Places, and Processes for effective stewardship of watershed land and water quality within the NYC watershed
Server (IMS) Program
MultiService to deliver a browser-based interface for raster and vector coverages from multiple servers
Flood*Ware Software Suite
ArcView GIS-based watershed modeling and flood mapping for FEMA’s Map Modernization Program and the New York Statewide Flood Mapping Program
BuildOut Modeling Tool (BMT)
Joins the user friendly GUI of ESRI’s ArcGIS with the analytical capacity of the Stuttgart Neural Network Simulator (SNNS) to forecast changes in land use over time
